EPDM is a type of class rubber which has good heat resistance. EPDM is an important class of rubber in the auto industry. Generally is compounded with organic oils, carbon black for strength and desired hardness, accelerators, and other processing aids. EPDM is one of the many types of Synthetic rubbers. It is primarily used in rubber extruded products, mostly in the form of seals. It's most visible use is in the auto industry. Door seals, window seals, windshield wipers, and other such parts are made out of EPDM. It has also had good resistance properties to fire.
